Mounting and Finishing Questions

Should a Graphic be Mounted?
Do mount a graphic to gator plast board if:

  1. it is being placed in a frame (generally)
  2. if it will not be shipped around the country often
  3. if it is being displayed on an easel
  4. if it is being placed on a wall without a frame

Do not mount a graphic to gator plast board if:

  1. the graphic is being shipped to many locations to be used at tradeshows
  2. if it will be placed in a frame with special matting or custom mountings

What Does the Graphic Look Like When it is Not Mounted?
When the "no mounting" option is chosen, the graphic is laminated on both sides with your choice of gloss or matte finish, which protects the paper and graphic from moisture and other contaminants (both sides are laminated to reduce uneven surface tensions to help reduce curl).

What is Gator Plast Board?
Gator plast board is similar to foam core board. Gator plast comes in a standard 3/16 inch thickness and is coated front and back with a plastic facing, which resists humidity changes and reduces warping. The adhesion of this surface is better than standard foam core and is preferred for the mounting of graphics.

What Are Matte and Gloss Finishes?
Both matte and gloss are plastic laminates applied to the surface of the printed piece to protect the graphic from finger oils, moisture, dirt and other contaminants that can shorten the life of the graphic. Gloss material will cause the image to appear more brilliant; however, it will cause more light reflections and glare so consideration to the lighting conditions where the graphic will be displayed should be given. Matte finish will significantly reduce glare but may dull the brilliance of the image slightly (this finish is recommended for high levels of overhead and ambient light).

What is a 2-Sided Cloth Banner?
Each 2-sided cloth banner has identical graphics on both sides. Each is lined with an opaque liner to prevent light from showing through the graphic. All cloth banners have machine stitched, hidden edge seams and come with a dowel pocket and dowel for hanging.

What is a 1-Sided Cloth Banner?
Each single-sided cloth banner has a graphic on one side and is backed with an opaque cloth to prevent light from showing through the graphic. All cloth banners have machine stitched hidden edge seams and come with a dowel pocket and dowel for hanging.

Ordering and Payment Questions

How Do I Place an Order?
Placing an order is easy and secure. Simply click on the picture you wish to order, select the finish and mounting options and the quantity of posters you wish to order, then click "add to order". When you are done, click "complete your order".

How Can I Place an Order Without Entering My Credit Card Number On-Line?
After placing an order on-line, please call Meridian at 1-888-784-2110 with payment details within 24 hours. Please know, your order will not be processed until you contact Meridian with the "credit card by phone" payment option.

Can I Phone In an Order?
Yes, please call 1-888-784-2110 from 8 AM - 4:30 PM CST.

If I Encounter a Problem While Submitting My Order, Should I Resubmit It?
If you are unsure your order was properly submitted, contact Meridian at 1-888-784-2110 or email, sales@meridian-corp.com.

Can I Change My Order After It Has Been Submitted?
No. Our system does not allow a completed order to be changed. You must cancel your initial order and place a new one. Meridian can cancel your initial order and place a new one for you, simply call 1-888-784-2110 or email, sales@meridian-corp.com.

Can I Cancel My Order After it Has Been Submitted?
If you wish to cancel an order you have placed, please call us as soon as possible. Normally, we will process all orders within 48 hours and ship within five working days unless otherwise instructed.

Can I Receive an Email Confirming My Order?
You will receive an order confirmation from Meridian within a short period of time after your order is received.

Shipping Questions

How Long Will it Take For My Order to Arrive?
Most orders are dispatched within five working days. Occasionally, when there is a temporary problem with one of the items you have ordered, there may be delays. You will be notified if any delays are expected. Once your order has been shipped, the method of delivery will determine the cost and delivery speed.

Can I Ship the Artwork to Another Location Other Than My Billing Address?
Yes. When placing an order on-line, this option will be available.

What are the Shipping Costs?
The shipping cost will vary depending upon the size and weight of the order. We will do our best to provide the best rate. Freight cost will be added to an order at the time of shipping.

How is the Artwork Shipped?
Typically, Airborne Express Ground and Airborne Express Overnight are used because Meridian has found their customer service and cost to be competitive (however, Meridian works with all major shipping companies).

How is the Artwork Packaged?
All artwork is carefully packaged to protect the surface and corners

Is it Possible to Have a Poster Ship Within 24 Hours?
Yes. Meridian is handling expedited production and special delivery. When placing an order, please select overnight delivery or ground service.

How Can I Track My Shipment?
Please contact Meridian at 1-888-784-2110 from 8AM - 4:30PM CST (Meridian will do a search and notify you of the status).

How Will I Know When My Order Ships?
Once your order has been dispatched an email is sent to your registered email address.

What Should I Do if the Artwork Has Been Damaged During Shipment?
Immediately call 1-888-784-2110 between 8AM - 4:30PM CST so that Meridian can resolve the problem.

Care Questions

How Should I Care For My Artwork?
Here are a few tips to help preserve the poster/picture:

  • Hang the artwork away from direct sunlight or direct fluorescent lighting. Ultraviolet rays can fade and deteriorate the artwork over time.
  • Avoid hanging artwork near a fireplace, radiator or other heat source. Heat may cause artwork to warp.

What if I Can't Find the Print I Want?
If you need help finding an item on the site, please contact Meridian at 1-888-784-2110 or sales@meridian-corp.com. If the item is not available, Meridian will help you find a suitable substitute.

Do I Need to Get Two Banners if I Am Hanging Them From the Ceiling or in a Window?
Only if you need them two-sided (viewing from both sides of a piece).

How Do I Hang the Artwork?
You can hang them with hanging tabs, string woven in grommets, displayed on an easel or hung directly on a wall.

Can I Hang the Artwork Outdoors?
Cloth banners may be placed outdoors under protection for a short period of time (less than one month). No lifetime guarantee is given on the longevity of the banners in this program.

Will the Cloth Wrinkle?
Cloth banners can wrinkle during shipment; however, they can be ironed on the back (or with a liner on top of the piece) with a low heat iron.

Does Light Shine Through the Cloth?
No. We sew all two-sided fabric banners with a light-blocking liner within the finished piece.

Special Orders Questions

Can I Get Customized Graphics?
Yes, please email graphicdesign@ashleyfurniture.com to submit your request. Ashley will create your custom graphics and after your approval, Meridian will print and ship them to you.

Can I Get Graphics in a Different Size?
Yes, various sizes are offered. Please call Meridian at 1-888-784-2110 with your requirements.

Can I Get Tabletop Versions?
Yes. Please contact Meridian at 1-888-784-2110 with your request.

Can I Customize by Adding My Own Company Logo?
Yes. Meridian offers custom design and logo placement services for additional charges. Please email graphicdesign@ashleyfurniture.com with your request.

Can I Add Another Company's Logo?
No, copyright infringement inhibits use of other logos.

Other Details Questions

How Often Do You Add New Products?
Since this is a new site, Meridian may add new products often. In the future, it will be difficult to predict the frequency. Please let Meridian know if you want to be on the "notify me" list and Meridian will notify you by email when new art is added to the site.

Is the Image On Your Site Accurate to What I Will Be Sent?
We work very hard to ensure that the images on the site reflect the actual products we ship. If for any reason you receive an image that is not what you expected, please let us know.

Are There Versions With People of Various Ethnic Backgrounds?
Yes, please refer to the online catalog.
